T24 can be called a CUSTOMER centric system. All the banking products managed by T24 are based on a customer record. It is then recommended that for each customer there be only one customer record.
This will assist in that accurate reporting on the true overview position of the customers position.
The Customer record will hold all the important information about the customer such as Name, Identification details, address, the sector and industry they fall in as well as the nationality and country of residence of the customer. For Individuals the record can Also hold details of employment. T24 also allows for related customers to be linked and a relationship between the two be defined( e.g. an Individual customer record can be linked and related to a company he is a director or a Mother can be linked to her Son. The department or individual, from the bank, that manage the customers business can also be set up in the account record.
In setting up the account record you will need to set up various other static tables first that feed information to the Customer table. These include among others : DAO, SECTOR, INDUSTRY, RELATION, TARGET AND CUSTOMER STATUS.
The details captured in the customer record can be used in the consolidation of financial reporting in the products that will be extended to the customer. The MIS reporting of a bank can find this to be very useful.
*****The Customer record ID is a mandatory component in the financial products extended using t24. It is an integral part of any Dealing done between a bank and any customer of the bank.
